When I came across this piece on Behavior Gap I thought to myself " yep, he's got it!". There are objective financial advice professionals out there but they are not the ones with lots of advertising screaming for your attention. Most likely they are member's of the Financial Planning Association (fpanet.org) or the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors (NAPFA.org, operate independently and on a commission free basis.
